Happy Wednesday, makers! Can you believe we are halfway through December already? My mind is racing with 2018 sewing plans and resolutions. I have to admit I am a little bit of a resolution junkie - always making more than I could ever keep. Even though this may seem like a pointless endeavor, I really love making them anyway and I don't give myself a hard time if they don't all stick.  I like to let myself get swept up in self-reflection and goal setting because it helps me visualize my future. The things that do stick with me make all the difference...

Roscoe Dress

Ahhhh, the Roscoe Dress. This dress and I have had a real 'will they/won't they' storyline since its release back in 2015. When I first saw it I was like, cute, but not for me. I think I was having flashbacks to when peasant blouses became popular and I was so against them because they made my already broad shoulders look like a linebacker's. If there is a special lady in your life you would like to sew a handmade gift for, look no further than the Suki Kimono! It got me thinking about what a great gift Suki would make for the holidays, for a sister, friend,...

I am looking forward to reflecting back a bit this month on the blog so I hope you come and check out some of my posts on that topic! News (clockwise from top left) BluePrints for sewing released the Moderne Coat. In the Folds...

Hudson pants and Linden Sweatshirt
Posted by Helen | 04/12/2017 | Into My Closet

Well, it is that time of year folks! It has been raining for what feels like 2 weeks straight and I am stuck inside my poorly lit apartment for my blog photos. Luckily, this week I have something to share that I only wear at home and it has been my work uniform since I made it a few weeks ago. I am trying to embrace my desire to wear comfy things while working from home and not getting down on myself about looking put together or 'dressing for work'. I work hard no matter what I'm wearing so if it's...
