I debated whether or not to include this view in the pattern because they aren’t really culottes.  I’m fairly sure if it goes all the way down to the ankles what you have there is a pair of pants.  I’m glad I decided to set semantics aside and included this view, it is so much fun to wear and my testers loved it.  Many of them made view B and view D, to get the best of both worlds!

View D is a full on palazzo pant extravaganza!  It looks best in a very drapey fabric that moves with you when you walk.  The skirt illusion is heightened when you use a busy print like this one, but I also have a neutral version of View D to share with you soon! I wouldn’t dare gloss over this fabric, it is a viscose poplin from Blackbird Fabrics, sold out but they often have this type of fabric in stock in other prints, so keep your eyes out!  I ordered it way back in the fall and have been waiting for the perfect project ever since.  I’m glad it finally found a place in my wardrobe in the dramatic fashion it deserves.

Words cannot describe the feeling when walking in these beauties.  I have so much fun wearing them and they keep my legs surprisingly cool in the hot weather.  They also protect my pale skin from the sun, a much needed benefit for me.  I tried so hard to get some cool movement shots of these pants in action!  These are the best few out of seriously hundreds, haha. That is what happens when you take photos on rapid shot mode.  You get the idea, right?  They are fun fun fun!
